Inna Lillahi Wa Inna Ilaihi Raji’un – In Memory of Dr. Bilquis Begum

It is with profound grief and sorrow that Rahmah Foundation announces the sad demise of Dr. Bilquis Begum, aged 78, who passed away at 5:00 AM on Friday, 18th September 2026.

Dr. Bilquis Begum was a distinguished medical professional who dedicated her life to the service of humanity. She was a Child Specialist & General Physician and Consultant Haematologist (Gold Medalist), and formerly served as Professor and Head, Department of Haematology, Calcutta School of Tropical Medicine.

She was also a Board of Trustee of Rahmah Foundation and made her valuable contribution to the Foundation’s mission of serving humanity in the pleasure of Almighty Allah. She will be remembered with deep respect and affection by her family, relatives, friends, patients, colleagues, and all those whose lives she touched through her professional service and compassion.

Our Prayers

We pray to Almighty Allah (SWT) to forgive her shortcomings, accept her good deeds, grant her the highest place in Jannatul Firdaus, illuminate her grave with Noor, and shower her with His infinite mercy.

May Allah grant Sabr-e-Jameel, strength and patience to her family and loved ones during this difficult time.

We request everyone to kindly remember the deceased in their prayers and offer Dua-e-Maghfirah for her.
